The Company

Ecstacy Brewery Pvt Ltd

Ecstacy Brewery Pvt Ltd is the company behind Professor Choice. We import and distribute whisky in India, and we source and bottle natural mineral water here.

The two businesses run on the same principle: know exactly where the product comes from, and be able to say so plainly. In whisky that means selecting casks ourselves rather than buying finished stock. In water it means owning the source rather than contracting the bottling out.

The Brand

Why "Professor Choice"

The name is a claim about judgement, not about credentials.

Knowledge over noise

The Professor has read the material. He is not impressed by a heavy bottle or an invented family crest, and neither are we.

Confidence over display

The top hat and the bow tie in our mark are worn without irony but without pomp. It is a wink, not a costume.

Choice, deliberately

The brand is named for a decision, not a product. Everything we release is something we chose, and could have declined.

What We Do

Two products, two operations

Whisky — imported

Selected and bottled abroad, shipped under bond into India, cleared and released territory by territory under state excise regulation. We do not distil. We select, import and stand behind what we put our name on.

Water — entirely Indian

Drawn from a protected Indian aquifer and bottled at source under BIS regulation. No import, no blending, no third-party bottling. It is available anywhere in India without a liquor licence.

Distribution — direct

We appoint state distributors and trade partners ourselves rather than working through aggregators, so that the people selling the brand have actually tasted it.

Responsibility

What we will not do

We do not market to anyone below the legal drinking age. We do not sell alcohol online or deliver it. We do not associate the brand with driving, with performance, or with drinking as a measure of anything.

Alcohol carries real risk. A company that sells it and pretends otherwise is not one worth trusting on anything else, so we would rather be plain about it: drink less of something better, and do not drink at all if you are driving, pregnant, or under the legal age where you live.
